We collaborate closely with public- and private-sector partners to translate big questions into deep insights that improve programs, refine strategies, and enhance understanding using data science and analytics. Our work yields actionable information to guide decisions in wide-ranging policy areas, from health, education, early childhood, and family support to nutrition, employment, disability, and international development.
We are seeking part-time, temporary nutrition research associates for a nationwide child care study that is assessing the nutritional quality and cost of meals served in child care centers. Nutrition research associates will be responsible for reviewing completed menu surveys to identify missing data and following up with child care providers to retrieve this data. Nutrition research associates will also be responsible for finalizing both dietary recall and menu survey data in a nutrient coding system.
Positions start in early July 2023 and will likely last through October, with the possibility of continuing work on other study tasks for additional months. Positions require a minimum commitment of 24 hours per week, and scheduling is flexible between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. All work will be completed in-person in our Cambridge office, located between Harvard and Central Square in Cambridge.

- Bachelors degree or prior experience with food service or nutrition studies (degrees in nutrition, dietetics, or related field preferred)
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with navigating online computer programs
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Flexibility, sensitivity, and patience in working with child care staff
- Prior experience with nutrient analysis software and/or nutrient databases preferred (but not required)
