The Director will lead the Solutions Leadership practice area within Health Solutions Insights (HSI). The Director provides leadership to the practice area by contributing to the practice area strategy and implementing that strategy by providing operational direction for service delivery execution and growth. The Director leads through practice managers and is accountable for performance and results of the practice area.

Responsibilities:
- Define solutions leadership role(s) in ways that balance client, business, and staff priorities. This includes specifying the qualifications, responsibilities, and professional development pathways for the role(s).
- Educate stakeholders both internal and external to HSI on solutions leadership role(s) and best practices
- Establish and/or organizing solutions leadership training program that implements the professional development pathways for the role
- Foster community and collaboration within the solutions leadership practice through regular forums for knowledge sharing
- Grow the solutions leadership practice as needed to keep pace with client and business needs
- Support Client Partners and Health Unit senior management in providing oversight and advice to Health Unit projects with significant HSI components, including attending technical reviews.
- With administrative support from Resource Managers, ensure Solutions Leadership team members are appropriately staffed.
- With administrative support from Resource Managers, assess and manage performance of solutions leadership team members.
- Contribute to strategic planning for the practice area, HSI, and client areas
- Evaluate internal functions and processes and suggest improvements.
- Supervise and mentor practice managers
- Work collaboratively across technology and advisory services teams
- Actively support the advancement of organizational diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, and apply diversity, equity and inclusion lens across job responsibilities
Position Requirements:
- 10 years of progressive experience implementing data collection, storage, analysis, and visualization solutions, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity
- Graduate degree in computer science, business, or other related field or equivalent working experience
- Deep understanding of healthcare data across healthcare data ecosystem (Federal = Medicare and Medicaid, state and local, providers, payors, life sciences, consumer retail healthcare)
- Knowledge of statistical programming languages and data visualization tools used within the Data Science and Analytics practice, such as R, Python, SQL, matplotlib, ggplot, d3.js., and Tableau
- Knowledge of technologies used within the Core Services practice, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP for Cloud platforms, Snowflake and cloud-native tools for data platforms, and Tableau and QuickSight for BI platforms, to name a few
- Knowledge of project management fundamentals, including the ability to develop and implement accurate work plans, schedules, staffing plans, and budgets, under both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability translate findings to both technical and non-technical, as well and internal and external (client) audiences
- Understanding of change management and matrix organizational management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products
- Experience building and leading teams
This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $150,000 - $200,000. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance. To apply, please submit a cover letter (optional), resume, location preference, and salary expectations.
