The Director of Core Services for Health Solutions Insights (HSI) leads a team of practice managers responsible for cloud engineering & application development, data management and governance, business intelligence, data visualization design & user experience, quality assurance, and architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cloud engineering & application development, data management and governance, business intelligence, data visualization design & user experience, quality assurance, and architecture practices to ensure consistent and streamlined delivery of technology related work on projects.
  • Define and document architecture & design patterns, standards & best practices, and technologies and enforce adherence across projects.
  • Work closely with client partners to propose technical solutions and design in proposals that meet the project objectives and align with the client’s overall technology strategy and mission.
  • Define and enforce industry best practices for application development, data management & governance, QA, etc. across all projects
  • Engage client partners and resource managers to devise training and development plan for all staff within the practice area, improve employees' knowledge and skills for future organizational growth and foster collaboration within the practice.
  • Partner with Resource Managers to assess and manage performance of Core Services Practice staff
  • Grow the practice as needed to keep pace with client and business needs
  • Contribute to strategic planning for Health Solutions Insights (HSI) and client areas
  • Evaluate internal functions and processes and suggest improvements.
  • Foster and maintain good relationships with colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.
  • Supervise and mentor core services managers
  • Actively support the advancement of organizational diversity, equity and inclusion efforts, and apply diversity, equity and inclusion lens across job responsibilities.

Position Requirements:

  • 10 years of progressive experience with application development and data platform implementation
  • 5 years’ experience in architecture leadership
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, systems engineering, or similar degree, or Master’s degree in management information systems, computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Deep understanding of healthcare data across healthcare data ecosystem (Federal = Medicare and Medicaid, state and local, providers, payors, life sciences, consumer retail healthcare)
  • Expertise in various technologies across all practices within Core Services, like AWS, Azure, or GCP for Cloud platforms, Snowflake and cloud-native tools for data platforms, and Tableau and QuickSight for BI platforms.
  • Expertise with industry standard data strategy and governance processes
  • Ability to apply technology to provide solutions for decision makers regarding complex policy issues
  • Cloud Solutions Architect or Data Architect certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $150,000 - $200,000. This position is eligible for a discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance. To apply, please submit a cover letter (optional), resume, location preference, and salary expectations.
