Senior Applications Programmer Analyst

We are looking for a Senior Applications Programmer Analyst to join our team in Princeton, NJ. You will be responsible for developing custom applications to support our administrative teams. We are seeking team-oriented individuals with solid analytical, programming and communication skills. You will work on multiple projects, develop project plans, and meet deadlines. The position requires strong data management skills to extract, translate and load business data.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications to support the administrative systems of the company
  • Write, translate and code software programs and applications according to specifications
  • Leverage substantive and technical expertise to design systems and coordinate the development of custom administrative systems
  • Create and manage tasks within a Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) framework
  • Write clear and concise systems and end user documentation
  • Integrate off-the-shelf, Cloud-based, and locally hosted applications with existing processes and systems
  • Experience with business intelligence reporting in administrative systems including HR, Accounting and Contracts
  • Work within the best practice frameworks of data warehousing, relational structures, dimensional data modeling, ETL, structured query language (SQL), and reporting
  • Absorb concepts and information, apply conceptual skills in practical applications, and achieve desired results in a technical environment

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field such as information systems, computer science, business administration or related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in supporting administrative systems
  • 7 years of demonstrated experience in code development
  • Experience with programming languages and tools such as MS Visual Studio, ASP.Net, VB, MS SQL, C#, Python, and BI tools (QlikView and/or Cognos preferred)
  • Motivated and eager to learn new technologies
  • Strong organizational and communication (oral and written) skills and the ability to work within teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse user base having varied levels of technical proficiencies
  • Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment with attention to detail and flexibility to respond to shifting priorities
  • Must be able to pass a background check
